The Final Blood Moon and Lunar Eclipse in Aries –     The    Reunion of the Feminine and Masculine

9/27/2015

The intensity of this current vortex of energy can be very overwhelming.
We are currently being faced with all and every multidimensional aspect
of ourselves as our  awareness is expanded and illuminated to new extremes.

This Full Blood Moon and Lunar Eclipse in Aries leaves us facing the old new and finally
culminating the new. We are seeing the reunion of the original forces of the universe
come together — masculine and feminine merged together, sparking the integrated
      life-force within us.

     Here is an excerpt:

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Aries Opposite the Sun in Libra

This month’s Lunar Eclipse and Full Blood Moon brings with it a feeling of culmination
leading to a distinct change in direction. Being a turning point, this creates a
sense of being stuck in limbo. Even though the energy feels progressive there
are still aspects of this vibration that are asking us to hold the space and as
we simply attune ourselves to this change in direction, knowing we are in a
dynamic process of realization and manifestation.

This alignment also brings with it a beautiful realization of being re-united and
fully integrated — the balance (Libra) of masculine and feminine, Sun and Moon.

All of the internal change and inner cleansing we have gone through over the last
2½ years is now been revealed, and our inner shifting has now brought a new direction.
The Lunar Eclipse ushers now the feeling of completion, finalizing our feelings
of attachment to the old direction.

This is a point that many of us have been working towards. This state of being is what it
has    all been about — finding inner peace and harmony within a process of universal
change. During the next phase of this shift, we will experience and see very clearly
the polarity between the people that still carry the unresolved emotional pain and
energy brought on by the old direction, which was one of separation not unity.
This phase will bring into focus an important aspect of this collective awakening
experience, which we will be called to undertake — the building of bridges
between the old world and the new.

The ultimate goal here is to return back to love; to incarnate more love into our
multidimensional selves. We are building bridges within ourselves, reuniting
the masculine and feminine, balancing the left and right brain, and healing
the illusions that have separated humanity from its awareness of cosmic love.
We will also be asked to help build bridges in the outside world. Although the
distinction between “the awakened” and “the sleeping” will be incredibly obvious,
and at times difficult for us to experience, our role in this next phase is (in part)
to help others heal and return to a place of love and unity so that – in unity –
     no soul is left behind.

During this journey of expansion and exploration, the universal consciousness
could only learn about itself through direct experience — by experiencing
all aspects of what it can be. So, during the recent cycles we have been experiencing,
we – the universe – have been learning about the different aspects of ourselves
through separation. We have experienced the feminine without the masculine
and the masculine without the feminine. During these times, we have embodied
one of the other, and collectively learned to suppress the energy of the opposite.
A perfect example of this is matriarchal versus patriarchal times. During the
      times of matriarchy
, we lived in harmony with the earth and nature, we built our
societies on the understanding of nurturing and receptivity, but we did not
expand our collective selves or direct our will toward new directions. This left
the masculine energy suppressed and wounded, and that suppressed energy
rebelled. More recently, we have lived under patriarchal rule, where our will
and direction has been prioritized, suppressing the divine feminine and her
nurturing nature and wounding the feminine energy of the earth in the process.

We all carry within ourselves a deep wound and sense of lack rooted in that
original separation; that formation of duality. This feeling is what propels us
to explore in the search for completeness and perfection. However, that feeling
that can only be fulfilled through the balance of the feminine and masculine
energies within ourselves. We are now at the point in our evolution where
we are finding the missing parts of ourselves.

With the Full Blood Moon and Lunar Eclipse in Aries (new directions),
the final blood moon of the tetrad, we are being offered a new beginning.
  •        It is time to embody the unified masculine and feminine within ourselves,
  •       and to begin manifesting it into our world;
  •         through the philosophies we embody (Saturn in Sagittarius),
  •        the decisions we make (Mercury Retrograde in Libra),
  •          the structures we build in our lives (Pluto in Capricorn),
  •        and the influence we choose to have on the world around us.

Drinking water systems imperiled by failing infrastructure

9/26/2015

Around the country, scores of decaying drinking water systems built around the time of World War II and earlier are in need of replacement. The costs to rebuild will be staggering. The costs of inaction are already piling up. The challenge is deepened by drought conditions in some regions and government mandates to remove more contaminants.

At stake is the continued availability of clean, cheap drinking water — a public health achievement that has fueled the nation's growth for generations.

"The future is getting a little dark for something as basic and fundamental as water," said Adam Krantz of the Water Infrastructure Network, a lobbying group that is fighting cuts to key federal water programs.

"That's the key that Americans have to understand: If they want this system, they are going to have to be willing to finance it," said Greg DiLoreto, past president of the American Society of Civil Engineers, which has warned of a future with more equipment failures that will disrupt water service, transportation and commerce.

New Orleans once boasted about not raising water rates for two decades. But in 2012, the city approved 10 percent increases on water bills for eight straight years as part of a plan to fix its crumbling system. The average household's monthly water-and-sewer bill will climb to $115 by 2020.

"  For decades, extreme ideologies on both the left and the right have clashed over the conspiratorial concept of a shadowy secret government pulling the strings on the world’s heads of state and captains of industry. The phrase New World Order is largely derided as a sophomoric conspiracy theory entertained by minds that lack the sophistication necessary to understand the nuances of geopolitics. But it turns out the core idea — one of deep and overarching collusion between Wall Street and government with a globalist agenda — is operational in what a number of insiders call the “Deep State.”

In the past couple of years, the term has gained traction across a wide swath of ideologies. Former Republican congressional aide Mike Lofgren says it is the nexus of Wall Street and the national security state — a relationship where elected and unelected figures join forces to consolidate power and serve vested interests. Calling it “the big story of our time,” Lofgren says the deep state represents the failure of our visible constitutional government and the cross-fertilization of corporatism with the globalist war on terror.

“It is a hybrid of national security and law enforcement agencies: the Department of Defense, the Department of State, the Department of Homeland Security, the Central Intelligence Agency and the Justice Department. I also include the Department of the Treasury because of its jurisdiction over financial flows, its enforcement of international sanctions and its organic symbiosis with Wall Street,” he explained.

Even parts of the judiciary, namely the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, belong to the deep state.

How does the deep state operate? A complex web of revolving doors between the military-industrial-complex, Wall Street,  and Silicon Valley consolidates the interests of defense contracts, banksters, military actions, and both foreign and domestic surveillance intelligence.

According to Mike Lofgren and many other insiders, this is not a conspiracy theory. The deep state hides in plain sight and goes far beyond the military-industrial complex President Dwight D. Eisenhower warned about in his farewell speech over fifty years ago.

While most citizens are at least passively aware of the surveillance state and collusion between the government and the corporate heads of Wall Street, few people are aware of how much the intelligence functions of the government have been outsourced to privatized groups that are not subject to oversight or accountability. According to Lofgren, 70% of our intelligence budget goes to contractors.

Moreover, while Wall Street and the federal government suck money out of the economy, relegating tens of millions of people to food stamps and incarcerating more people than China — a totalitarian state with four times more people than us — the deep state has, since 9/11, built the equivalent of three Pentagons, a bloated state apparatus that keeps defense contractors, intelligence contractors, and privatized non-accountable citizens marching in stride.

After years of serving in Congress, Lofgren’s moment of truth regarding this matter came in 2001. He observed the government appropriating an enormous amount of money that was ostensibly meant to go to Afghanistan but instead went to the Persian Gulf region. This, he says, “disenchanted” him from the groupthink, which, he says, keeps all of Washington’s minions in lockstep.

Groupthink — an unconscious assimilation of the views of your superiors and peers — also works to keep Silicon Valley funneling technology and information into the federal surveillance state. Lofgren believes the NSA and CIA could not do what they do without Silicon Valley. It has developed a de facto partnership with NSA surveillance activities, as facilitated by a FISA court order.

Now, Lofgren notes, these CEOs want to complain about foreign market share and the damage this collusion has wrought on both the domestic and international reputation of their brands. Under the pretense of pseudo-libertarianism, they helmed a commercial tech sector that is every bit as intrusive as the NSA. Meanwhile, rigging of the DMCA intellectual property laws — so that the government can imprison and fine citizens who jailbreak devices — behooves Wall Street. It’s no surprise that the government has upheld the draconian legislation for the 15 years.

It is also unsurprising that the growth of the corporatocracy aids the deep state. The revolving door between government and Wall Street money allows top firms to offer premium jobs to senior government officials and military yes-men. This, says Philip Giraldi, a former counter-terrorism specialist and military intelligence officer for the CIA, explains how the Clintons left the White House nearly broke but soon amassed $100 million. It also explains how former general and CIA Director David Petraeus, who has no experience in finance, became a partner at the KKR private equity firm, and how former Acting CIA Director Michael Morell became Senior Counselor at Beacon Global Strategies.

Wall Street is the ultimate foundation for the deep state because the incredible amount of money it generates can provide these cushy jobs to those in the government after they retire. Nepotism reigns supreme as the revolving door between Wall Street and government facilitates a great deal of our domestic strife:

“Bank bailouts, tax breaks, and resistance to legislation that would regulate Wall Street, political donors, and lobbyists. The senior government officials, ex-generals, and high level intelligence operatives who participate find themselves with multi-million dollar homes in which to spend their retirement years, cushioned by a tidy pile of investments,” said Giraldi.

How did the deep state come to be? Some say it is the evolutionary hybrid offspring of the military-industrial complex while others say it came into being with the Federal Reserve Act, even before the First World War. At this time, Woodrow Wilson remarked,

“We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the civilized world, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.”

This quasi-secret cabal pulling the strings in Washington and much of America’s foreign policy is maintained by a corporatist ideology that thrives on deregulation, outsourcing, deindustrialization, and financialization. American exceptionalism, or the great “Washington Consensus,” yields perpetual war and economic imperialism abroad while consolidating the interests of the oligarchy here at home.

Mike Lofgren says this government within a government operates off tax dollars but is not constrained by the constitution, nor are its machinations derailed by political shifts in the White House. In this world — where the deep state functions with impunity — it doesn’t matter who is president so long as he or she perpetuates the war on terror, which serves this interconnected web of corporate special interests and disingenuous geopolitical objectives.

“As long as appropriations bills get passed on time, promotion lists get confirmed, black (i.e., secret) budgets get rubber stamped, special tax subsidies for certain corporations are approved without controversy, as long as too many awkward questions are not asked, the gears of the hybrid state will mesh noiselessly,” according to Mike Lofgren in an interview with Bill Moyers.

Interestingly, according to Philip Giraldi, the ever-militaristic Turkey has its own deep state, which uses overt criminality to keep the money flowing. By comparison, the U.S. deep state relies on a symbiotic relationship between banksters, lobbyists, and defense contractors, a mutant hybrid that also owns the Fourth Estate and Washington think tanks.

Is there hope for the future? Perhaps. At present, discord and unrest continues to build. Various groups, establishments, organizations, and portions of the populace from all corners of the political spectrum, including Silicon Valley, Occupy, the Tea Party, Anonymous, WikiLeaks, anarchists and libertarians from both the left and right, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and whistleblowers like Edward Snowden and others are beginning to vigorously question and reject the labyrinth of power wielded by the deep state.

Can these groups — can we, the people — overcome the divide and conquer tactics used to quell dissent? The future of freedom may depend on it.   "

Arctic ‘doomsday’ vault to open because of Syrian civil war

9/25/2015

The Svalbard Global Seed Vault is the world's greatest repository of seeds. It has about 860,000 samples from most of the countries in the world stored in a facility cloaked in permafrost, 800 miles beyond the rim of the Arctic Circle on a Norwegian archipelago. Even if electricity failed, its location means the specimens kept within the vault could survive at least two centuries.

The more than 4,000 plant species kept here provide a "global backstop" for the world's biodiversity in the face of climate change and other dramatic transformations on the planet. So it is conspicuous that, for the first time, the Norwegian-run facility will open the vault to remove some of its contents.

The International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (or ICARDA), which was forced to relocate from the Syrian city of Aleppo to Beirut in 2012, requested almost 130 boxes out of the 325 it had deposited in the Svalbard vault, according to Reuters. ICARDA's temporary unit in the Lebanese capital was only partially functioning, and it needed these samples as part of "its role as a hub to grow seeds and distribute them to other nations," the news agency explained.

The organization's research in part focuses on cultivating crops that can cope with shifting climate patterns in particularly dry areas of Africa, the Middle East and Australia. This vital work was interrupted by the horrors of the Syrian conflict, which has leveled swaths of Aleppo, once Syria's most populous city and its economic center.

Some of the world's first grains and cereals are thought to have been cultivated in the Levant, including Syria's river valleys, a cradle of civilization now rent asunder by war.

Commodities crash could turn Australia into a new Greece

9/25/2015

Picture
Last month Gina Rinehart, Australia’s richest woman and matriarch of Perth’s Hancock mining dynasty delivered an unwelcome shock to her workers in Western Australia: accept a possible 10pc pay cut or face the risk of future redundancies.

Ms Rinehart, whose family have accumulated vast wealth from iron ore mining, has seen her fortune dwindle since commodity prices began their inexorable slide last year. The Australian mining mogul has seen her estimated wealth collapse to around $11bn (£7bn) from a fortune that was thought to be worth around $30bn just three years ago.

This colossal collapse in wealth is symptomatic of the wider economic problem now facing Australia, which for years has been known as the lucky country due to its preponderance in natural resources such as iron ore, coal and gold. During the boom years of the so-called commodities “super cycle” when China couldn’t buy enough of everything that Australia dug out of the ground, the country’s economy resembled oil-rich Saudi Arabia.

Steelmaker Powerless as Iron Mines Sink Abroad

9/25/2015

Beijing) – A Chinese steelmaker digging for its own iron to save money may have hit a rock by investing heavily in overseas mines. Wuhan Iron & Steel (Group) Corp. (WISCO), a state-owned and Shanghai-listed conglomerate that's also one of China's largest steel producers, is grappling with the consequences of financial trouble at Brazilian and Canadian mines in which it invested.

WISCO controlled up to 20 percent of MMX Mineracao & Metalicos SA, which owns iron ore mines in Brazil and Chile but recently went bankrupt. It's also a business partner with U.S. mining company Cliffs Natural Resources Inc., operator of the Bloom Lake mine in Quebec, which in January suspended production.

Analysts blame the trouble at these mines on slumping global prices for iron ore, a key ingredient in steel manufacturing. Prices have fallen over the past year in the face of ever-expanding production at mines run by the world's largest iron ore suppliers – Vale SA, Rio Tinto Group, BHP Billiton Ltd. and Fortescue Metals Group. As big miners drove down prices, analysts say, smaller companies found it increasingly difficult to compete.

WISCO has declined to comment about the plight of MMX and Bloom Lake mine in which it invested a combined US$ 640 million six years ago. The company also has stakes in four iron ore mines in Canada, as well as one mine in Australia and one in Liberia.

MMX said the bankruptcy was due to its economic and financial situation, while Cliffs said it was forced to shutter Bloom Lake in January because production costs far exceeded market prices.

The global average price for 62 percent grade ore peaked last year at US$ 134.50 a ton before skidding dramatically, according to the Platts Iron Ore Index, a benchmark for the spot price of physical iron ore. It had fallen to around US$ 60 a ton in January.

WISCO's investment strategy lost a degree of credibility after the global price slump stung its South and North American mines, said Li Xinchuang, deputy secretary-general of the China Iron and Steel Association, which represents the nation's steel manufacturers.

The decline in ore prices was totally unexpected, Li said, so WISCO's management cannot be faulted for pursuing its overseas investment plan. The same "going out" strategy centered on buying foreign assets and doing business abroad has been followed in recent years by a variety of Chinese state-owned companies, he said.

Unless ore prices rebound, WISCO will not benefit as expected from these mine investments. On January 9, in a move highlighting hopes for a turnaround, the company formed a resources company to take charge of managing overseas mines. But in the short run, the steelmaker finds itself powerless to rescue these foreign investments.

Bidding for Independence

WISCO paid US$ 400 million in 2009 for its stake in MMX to become the miner's second-largest shareholder. The largest is Brazil's EBX Group.

That same year, WISCO paid US$ 240 million for about a 20 percent stake in the Bloom Lake mine by investing in a Canadian company that was a few years later taken over by Cliffs.

Fueling the steelmaker's overseas shopping spree was a desire to cut its reliance on iron ore extracted by the world's major mining conglomerates. In 2011, a good year for its overseas mines, WISCO President Deng Qilin predicted that within five years the mines would be so productive that his company would never have to buy iron ore again.

The government has seen overseas investments by WISCO and other domestic steelmakers as market decisions, and that all of these activities should follow rules of the market, said a government official.

Three mines under the MMX umbrella – Sudeste and Corumba in Brazil, and Minera in Chile – have combined proven reserves of about 3 billion tons. Up to 10.7 million tons of this can be extracted every year. The company also controls a seaport through which ore can be shipped to China quickly and conveniently.

The investment's initial payoff came in August 2010, when the first shipload of ore from MMX mines – 162,000 tons – arrived at the port of Ningbo. The ore was then hauled to WISCO's manufacturing plants.

The Bloom Lake mine, which has proven reserves of 1 billion tons of ore, started producing 8 million tons annually in 2010. A second phase of the mine project, which officials said would increase total output to 13.5 million tons a year, is still on the drawing board, awaiting the cash needed to prepare the area before digging can begin.

The expansion has yet to get off the ground because Cliffs is still looking for investors to finance the construction work needed to begin the second phase.

But last year's collapse of ore prices threw cold water on the expansion plan, said Cliffs officials, freezing out investors. Moreover, Bloom Lake is no longer a cost-effective mine.

Extracting a ton of iron ore at Bloom Lake today costs about US$ 120, Cliffs said, and about twice what a ton of ore is worth on the market today.

The extraction price was likely to fall to US$ 40.70 a ton after the second phase of expansion, according to a 2009 report from the investment bank Merrill Lynch. Nevertheless, the mine and expansion plans were idled indefinitely in January.

In addition to Bloom Lake, WISCO holds stakes in several other Canadian iron ore mining projects. But none of these projects have matured past the exploration stage. And according to an analyst, commercial extraction of ore is unlikely to begin before 2022. The Chinese company's stakes in undeveloped mine sites include 40 percent of the Sunny Lake project in Quebec, 60 percent of the December Lake project in Quebec, 60 percent of the Attikamagen project straddling the boundary between the Provinces of Quebec and Newfoundland and Labrador, and 40 percent of the Duncan Lake project in Quebec.

Meanwhile, MMX's bankruptcy has put WISCO South American investments at risk, said an employee for the steelmaker who spoke with Caixin on condition of anonymity. It was unclear how much the Chinese investor stands to lose, the employee said, and it was highly doubtful that buyers could be found for MMX's idled mines.

According to a senior analyst at the trade data website United Steel Net, Zhang Jiabin, MMX spends US$ 70 to extract a ton of iron ore from the Corumba mine. He said the company may have suspended production at the mine with a view to later selling it.

WISCO apparently had no say in MMX's decision to stop production at Sudeste, Corumba and Minera a few months before declaring bankruptcy in August. But the steelmakers' involvement had started waning in 2012, said the employee, when WISCO stopped financially supporting MMX in order to focus on projects in Canada and a new factory in Fangchenggang, in the southern Chinese region of Guangxi.

WISCO's stake in MMX was diluted in 2012, when the Brazilian company invited additional investors, said the employee. The Chinese company bowed out of MMX management decisions that year.

MMX's woes also may be linked to troubles at EBX, which has oil, energy, logistics and mining subsidiaries. The company's oil subsidiary fell into financial trouble in 2013, the same year MMX started planning to suspend ore production at Corumba in order to cut costs.

Mine on verge of bankruptcy    Norway

9/25/2015

The Sydvaranger mining company in Kirkenes is teetering on the verge of bankruptcy, its lawyer claims, after a key supplier stopped delivering important reserve parts for mine equipment. The mine, which also faces financial problems, is a major employer in the area and a bankruptcy would seriously hurt the local economy in eastern Finnmark.

Newspaper Dagens Næringsliv (DN) reported on Wednesday that the halt in deliveries from the mine’s supplier Pon Equipment has already forced shutdown of important machinery. That’s disrupting production of the mine’s iron ore, at a time when even a few days of such disruption is critical.

The mining company, which has around 400 employees in the Kirkenes area, has been battered by a 60 percent decline in iron ore prices since 2011. DN reported the company has lost around half-a-billion kroner in the past 18 months, has heavy debt and only has financing through the end of October.

It was only a few years ago that the future looked bright for Sydvaranger, which is owned by Northern Iron Limited of Australia. It was established in 2007 to rehabilitate the mine located east of Kirkenes, near the Russian border, its rail line and production plant. The company also launched production of high-value iron ore concentrate. Norwegian businessman and shipowner Felix Tschudi owns nearly a 14 percent stake in Northern Iron Limited and has been a major player in the mine’s rehabilitation, through his company Tschudi Mining Company AS.

The problems began after iron ore prices took a dive, and Sydvaranger had debt of nearly NOK 700 million at the end of June. Norway’s largest bank, DNB, is among the company’s largest lenders. The conflict with its equipment supplier is the latest threat facing the company.

“Sydvaranger is in an extremely pressured economic situation,” its lawyer Ørjan S Haukaas wrote in a new assessment of the company. The consequences of the refusal for a key supplier to deliver needed parts “can thus be fatal for Sydvaranger. If productions stops for just a few days, Sydvaranger will probably have to file for bankruptcy.”

Pon officials contend they had an agreement with Sydvaranger regarding service and reserve parts for machinery for several years, but that Sydvaranger itself cancelled it. Pon now wants a court to evaluate whether it should be forced to deliver reserve parts  even though the agreement was cancelled.

A judge has ordered Pon to deliver parts until the matter can be heard in October. Sydvaranger claims it was unhappy with the agreement it had with Pon but that Pon has a monopoly on the parts and they can’t be bought elsewhere.

Is Deutsche Bank the next Lehman Brothers ???????

9/23/2015

There Are Indications That A Major Financial Event In Germany Could Be Imminent
By Michael Snyder,
on September 21st, 2015

Is something about to happen in Germany that will shake the entire world?  According to disturbing new intel that I have received, a major financial event in Germany could be imminent.  Now when I say imminent, I do not mean to suggest that it will happen tomorrow.  But I do believe that we have entered a season of time when another “Lehman Brothers moment” may occur.  Most observers tend to regard Germany as the strong hub that is holding the rest of Europe together economically, but the truth is that serious trouble is brewing under the surface.

As I write this, the German DAX stock index is down close to 20 percent from the all-time high that was set back in April, and there are lots of signs of turmoil at Germany’s largest bank.  There are very few banks in the world that are more prestigious or more influential than Deutsche Bank, and it has been making headlines for all of the wrong reasons recently. Just like we saw with Lehman Brothers, banks that are “too big to fail” don’t suddenly collapse overnight.  The truth is that there are always warning signs in advance if you look closely enough.

In early 2014, shares of Deutsche Bank were trading above 50 dollars a share.  Since that time, they have fallen by more than 40 percent, and they are now trading below 29 dollars a share.

It is common knowledge that the corporate culture at Deutsche Bank is deeply corrupt, and the bank has been exceedingly reckless in recent years.

If you are exceedingly reckless and you win all the time, that is okay.  Unfortunately for Deutsche Bank, they have increasingly been on the losing end of things.

Prior to the “sudden collapse” of Lehman Brothers on September 15th, 2008, there had been media reports of mass layoffs at the firm.  To give you just a couple of examples, CNBC reported on this on March 10th, 2008 and the New York Times reported on this on August 28th, 2008.

When big banks start getting into serious trouble, this is what they do.  They start getting rid of staff.  That is why the massive job cuts that Deutsche Bank just announced are so troubling…

"Deutsche Bank aims to cut roughly 23,000 jobs, or about one quarter of total staff, through layoffs mainly in technology activities and by spinning off its PostBank division, financial sources said on Monday.

That would bring the group’s workforce down to around 75,000 full-time positions under a reorganization being finalised by new Chief Executive John Cryan, who took control of Germany’s biggest bank in July with the promise to cut costs.

Cryan presented preliminary details of the plan to members of the supervisory board at the weekend. A spokesman for the bank declined comment.

Exclusive: Deutsche Bank to cut workforce by a quarter - sources FRANKFURT |

By Thomas Atkins and Kathrin Jones

Deutsche Bank aims to cut roughly 23,000 jobs, or about one quarter of total staff, through layoffs mainly in technology activities and by spinning off its PostBank division, financial sources said on Monday.

That would bring the group's workforce down to around 75,000 full-time positions under a reorganization being finalised by new Chief Executive John Cryan, who took control of Germany's biggest bank in July with the promise to cut costs.

Cryan presented preliminary details of the plan to members of the supervisory board at the weekend. A spokesman for the bank declined comment.

Deutsche's share price has suffered badly under stalled reforms and rising costs on top of fines and settlements that have pushed the bank down to the bottom of the valuation rankings of global investment banks. It has a price-book ratio of around 0.5, according to ThomsonReuters data.

  EQUINOX 9/23/2015   &   ECLIPSE  9/27/2015

9/22/2015

Picture
this is posted with permission from author David Pond:

The Autumn Equinox is on Wednesday the 23rd, at 1:21 am P.D.T. as the Sun moves into Libra and the fall season begins.

With Libra, we discover and learn about ourselves through our experiences with others, particularly those that require cooperation to create the Libra ideal of win-win.  We’ll see this theme of seeking balance between self and others emphasized in dramatic fashion this fall, beginning with the Full Moon on Sunday after the Equinox.

A Dramatic “Supermoon” Lunar Eclipse September 27th

The Lunar eclipse on September 27th will be during a “Supermoon” this year with the eclipse happening just as the moon is at its closest point in its orbit to earth, making it appear up to 30% larger and brighter than usual.  The Moon will be in total eclipse for just over an hour, but doesn’t become completely invisible: It glows red, nicknamed a “blood moon”.

This will be visible in all of North America (maximum eclipse at 7:47 P.M. P.D.T./10:47 P.M. E.D.T.).

This eclipse occurs with the Full Moon in Aries and Sun in Libra. As the reflective light of the Moon becomes blocked by the Earth’s shadow, the communication between Moon and Sun is temporarily interrupted.

It is wise not to act on what you feel during an eclipse because of the skewed transmission.

is an excellent time to reflect on the balance of Aries and Libra, your self and others in your life.

Have you been over accommodating to others to the sacrifice of your own best interest and well-being?

Or have you been overly self-directed, not truly listening and responding to others, to the detriment of your relationships?

Use the eclipse to contemplate on how well you’ve been doing at keeping the razor’s edge of maintaining your independence within cooperative involvement with others.

Note if you have been too independent or too compromising in your relationships.

See the pattern in yourself and use the eclipse to make a commitment to let the old pattern be eclipsed.

Mercury Retrograde Opposite Uranus, T-squared by PlutoAre your relationships win-win, or compromising?

This theme of self and others is echoed with the Mercury Retrograde in Libra opposite Uranus in Aries in the Equinox chart.

The rebellious nature of Uranus will be like an alarm if the demands and expectations of others push you past what is fair just and honorable. We could call this a, “Get your own damn socks!” time, if you have been drifting towards compromising and settling to keep the peace in your dealings with others.

Peace is a Libra ideal, but if it comes from sacrificing what is honorable, expect Uranus to rear its feisty head in rebellion, thus these outbursts of “I’ve had it, no more compromising!” that can make people seem a bit touchy this season.

More funky weather
Saturn T-Square, A Test of Motivation
There is a Saturn T- square in the Equinox chart, with Saturn squaring both Mars imminently, September 25th, and Neptune, November 25th.

Saturn Squares are notorious for being testing challenging times, thus the heads up.  Squares can be used as motivation if one sets into motion whatever can remedy the source of the frustration. If I am frustrated with the state of my garden, and I go out and do something about it, I always feel better. And that is the key with squares—act on the frustration or sit and stew with the agitation. Squares require action.

Since Mars is the planet of how you take action, and Saturn is the planet of restraint and restriction, this first square of restricted action deserves some strategizing to avoid potential aggravation.

The nature of Saturn is to restrict, restrain, mold, and shape what it comes into aspect with.  Mars is the planet of how you take action, assert your will, and act on your desires. Saturn, having a larger orbit than Mars, will always win any challenge between the two. If Mars is your gas pedal and Saturn is your brake pedal, this could be a picture of acute frustration. You’ve got your foot on the gas with the engine revved up, but the brakes are on!  Use this energy to whip yourself into shape and outer frustrations dissipate

Saturn is not a negative force seeking to block your efforts, it is ultimately your inner authority demanding self-mastery, a tall order for sure. But to work with this energy internally, ask yourself, “where in my life do I need more self-control, self-restraint, and self-discipline?”
To stay sharp in life at whatever you are doing, periodic self-discipline is required to not loose your edge. Mars is all about action and Saturn is all about discipline; the high road being a time for self-discipline. For health and well being, you have to periodically discipline your desires to stay healthy.  This fall is an excellent time to return to your disciplines proactively, not just because of the warnings associated with lack of self-control, but proactively because of how good it does feel to be fit and on top of your game.

We need some degree of unconditional self-love, but self-respect we have to earn.  Where in your life could you benefit from greater self-discipline and self-control? It doesn’t have to be every area of your life, but utilize this time by picking some aspect of your life that could definitely improve with more self-imposed discipline.  The season starts off with Mars square Saturn, which supports taking action strategically, rather than boldly. Saturn restricts bold assertive action with the square, and to go with the energy suggests playing within your game to win the game—be patient, bide your time. Rather than forcing issues; play within what is realistically available; know your limits.

The Saturn Square to Neptune
peaks in late November, but already is in play. We can see how organizing and disciplining the Mars drive can be put to good use, but it’s not the same with nebulous Neptune, which has a much larger orbit than Saturn, and besides, how does one organize the clouds?

Neptune is your imagination, your mind pictures, and your spiritual eye at the brow behind the busy traffic of the mind.

At the higher level:
  • Neptune connects you to the inspiration and creativity available from the spiritual realms,
  • while at the lower level, Neptune leads to escapism, imagined fears, and illusions of all sorts.

The Saturn test with Neptune deals with how well you are able to distinguish between inspiration and illusion in the moment.
“I’ve had a lot of worries in my life, most of which never happened.”  Mark Twain

How well we all know that aggravation of worrying about something which isn’t even true or going to happen. Wouldn’t it be great to recognize these needless fears and worries in the moment and put them down like a bad book in a library? Such is the nature of Saturn/Neptune square.

Mindfulness

It takes a degree of mindfulness to be aware in the moment when your mind and imagination are wandering into unhealthy zones. Unhealthy mental and imaginative activity always has an attendant constriction and heaviness associated with it.  With mindfulness, you notice this in the moment, and pull your attention away from the unhealthy activity.
You could picture Neptune as a lotus flower just behind your brow. When it is pointing upward towards the light, you experience this influx of light. When your lotus flower is pointing down into the dark, you experience this darkness and constriction. When it is pointing down, do something to get those petals turned around and facing upward to receive the life giving light. Meditate, pray, read inspirational material, focus on beauty with mindful awareness. Get your imagination out of the muck and into the light.

Jupiter in Virgo  “The weather? Fuhgeddaboudit!”

We can almost hear this dismissive attitude from Jupiter in Virgo about concerns about the weather, “Does it really matter, we still have to do what has to be done, and it’s best to set about doing it.”

Jupiter in Virgo’s penchant for simplicity offers a refreshing antidote for the complexity of the season. If you focus on what is essentially important in the here and now, everything else is not important, fuhgeddaboudit.

From Awakening to Realization. Many, many people the world over have gone through huge awakenings in their core spiritual identity over the last few years.  Jupiter, the planet of growth and expansion looks at life as a field of opportunities to improve upon situations in life.  While Jupiter is in down to earth Virgo, this presents an opportunity to integrate your awakening into your everyday life, where Virgo focuses.  Not as much interested in periodic fantastic spiritual experiences, Virgo filters Jupiter’s expansive philosophical nature to that which can be helpful, useful, and integrated into everyday life.  Virgo rules the intestines in the body, whose role is to take all that comes in, analyze it, discriminate between that which has value and that which doesn’t, and then integrate the nutrients into the body. We see how Jupiter’s typically voracious appetite gets filtered through the Virgo process: If the material is not useful and cannot be integrated into life, it is passed on.

The Great Leveling

Jupiter in Virgo is a good time to let go of the search for peak experiences, and look to find value in the plains and valleys between peaks. Virgo resonates with this principle more than most signs and understands that if peak experiences are your goal, there’s a lot of time between peaks that get deemed as not rewarding. Life is mostly made up of these little moments, the day-to-day between special moments and peak experiences, and Jupiter in Virgo seeks for these to be rewarding as well.

For all the complexity of this fall season, the balance can be found in a few Jupiter in Virgo adages:Keep It Simple Live simply, so others may simply live Service with a Smile

Periodically the background buzz of Armageddon surfaces and these times are no exception with an inordinate number of people asking about their astrology and the coming collapse, disaster, “Armageddon”, they have been hearing about.  A crisis of this magnitude is not anything I am picking up on my radar, but I would like to close with the story I remember of Ram Dass’s response to the question of did he see a coming Armageddon.

The quote is from my memory of his reply:
“After giving this some thought, I asked myself what I would do if there were to be such a crisis? I would first center myself as best I could, and then look around and see where I could be helpful.  And if there weren’t to be such a crisis, what would I do? I would first center myself as best I could and look around and see where I could be helpful. Realizing it is the same either way, the question becomes a non-issue.” (fuhgeddaboudit)

Sage advice for this season: Center yourself as best you can and then look around and see where you can be helpful.  And may this newsletter somehow be helpful in your navigating this Autumn Season.
 Be well,David

Citibank  Buiter’s request for “helicopter money”

Citibank Declares a "Global Recession"

May Be Just around the Corner
The Chinese economy is sputtering and close to an outright stall. Brazil, Russia, and India – the other BRIC nations – are already in serious trouble. The malaise in emerging markets may well spread to Europe and the U.S.

Queue up the Keynesians...

According to Willem Buiter, chief economist at Citibank, "A global recession starting in 2016 led by China is now our Global Economics team's main scenario. Uncertainty remains, but the likelihood of a timely and effective policy response seems to be diminishing."

Here in the U.S., investors are once again taking note of storm clouds on the horizon. The S&P 500 fell 8% from its highs this summer. Buiter would like to see central bankers pouring on more monetary stimulus. In fact, he is calling for central bankers to pull out all the stops this time:

“Helicopter money drops in China, the euro area, the UK, and the U.S. and debt restructuring... can mitigate and, if implemented immediately, prevent a recession during the next two years without raising the risk of a deeper and longer recession later.”
But, for the moment at least, it appears unlikely central planners will act before recession strikes in developed economies. Perhaps officials need cover from a sharp economic downturn, and the attendant screams for help, before they can once again ride back out to the rescue.

With interest rates already at zero, the next step – be it negative interest rates, a renewal of quantitative easing, or dropping cash from helicopters – is a doozy.

Not something officials can do casually.

With central bankers across the world already weakening their currencies in a race to the bottom, investors should not be surprised to see the consensus for rate hikes in the U.S. completely vanish in the coming months.

Particularly if America plunges into another recession. That consensus could be replaced by expectations of a brand new stimulus program, either by Congress or the Fed. Or both.

Perhaps the central planners will even start mailing us all checks – early tax rebates or the like – so we go out and spend. Buiter’s call for shoving money down everyone’s throat is representative of the philosophy that pervades the Federal Reserve and Washington DC: There can never be too much stimulus or money creation. If stimulus is failing, it is simply because it is inadequate. It is time to double down.

Couple Buiter’s request for “helicopter money” with his recent modest proposal to abolish cash – an idea gaining real traction with policy makers and the major banks – and you have everything you need to know about why it is important to hold physical gold and silver

SHIPROCK — Environmental activist Erin Brockovich, made famous from the Oscar-winning movie bearing her name, on Tuesday accused the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency of lying about how much toxic wastewater spilled from a Colorado mine and fouled rivers in three Western states.

Her allegation came during a visit to the nation’s largest American Indian reservation, where she saw the damage and met with Navajo Nation leaders and farmers affected by last month’s spill, which was triggered by an EPA crew during excavation work.

Brockovich said she was shocked by the agency’s actions leading up to the release of waste tainted with heavy metals and its response afterward.

    FOOD  FOR  THOUGHT    SYRIA

9/22/2015

food for thought:

Concurrent with Russia’s reinvigorated efforts to diplomatically resolve the War on Syria, the US has taken to launching a three-pronged hybrid information war against Syria in order to worsen its domestic situation.

The refugee crisis has been politicized and transformed into a novel asymmetrical weapon of regime change against the country, creating a quandary which is impossible for Syria to resolve on its own and which places it in an ever-constant strate
gic vulnerability.

The US and Israel’s hoax about a Russian ground intervention against ISIL was a second wave of soft destabilization designed to obstruct the assembling of Russia’s anti-ISIL coalition and also undermine faith in the Syrian Arab Army.

The most recent ploy related to Syria saw the US trying to unsuccessfully pressure Greece to deny overflight rights to Russian humanitarian aircraft transiting to Syria, but out of nowhere, Bulgaria’s voluntary agreement to this scheme (motivated out of a dual desire to please its patron and thank it for the heavy equipment, Marines, and ‘rapid response’ base its received) has created an unnecessary inconvenience.

Revolutionary 3-D Printer Can Build 10 Houses In 24 Hours, And For Only $5,000 Each!

To remedy the housing crisis, as well as the increasing demand for economical and sustainably-produced living spaces, many architects are experimenting with 3D printing.
One such designer is Ma Yihe, the owner of the private firm WinSun. According to BBC News, WinSun managed to produce 10 full-sized, detached single-story houses in just ONE day – a monumental achievement.

Based in China, the company used four 10m x 6.6m printers to spray a mixture of cement and construction waste to build the walls, layer by layer.

The energy efficient buildings, as reported by Xinhua news agency, can be produced for as little as $5,000 due to the lack of manual labor and cheap (as well as recycled) materials.

Banned TED Talk: Graham Hancock – The War on Consciousness

9/22/2015

Picture
Yet another TED talk banned by the TED community due to the challenge it poses to mainstream science. The talk was done at a TEDx conference and aired on the TEDx YouTube channel for a period of time before it was removed due to its content. After personally listening to this talk it is quite clear why it was censored. It isn’t that it explores faulty information or even offensive topics, it is simply that it explores a topic that is greatly feared by mainstream medicine and science.

Graham brings light to the war on consciousness that exists in our modern society, especially in the western world. He makes the argument that modern society does not allow us to truly explore our consciousness by making various psychedelic drugs illegal while we are instead fed pharmaceutical drugs that have negative effects on health. He points out the fact that this does not allow us to have true freedom and that exploring our consciousness may very well be a crucial step in changes we must make on the planet if we are to find a way to survive as a species.
